The 60041E swirl ring is a plasma cutting and laser consumable. It's made from a type of ceramic called hydrous aluminum silicate. Swirl rings are brittle and should be replaced if they crack.
Swirl rings are one of seven components that make up a plasma torch head. They control the swirling action of the plasma gas around the electrode. This controls the arc's shape and allows for greater cutting precision. Swirl rings also constrict the arc for faster cut speeds and thicker cut capability.
